This is my first (and perhaps only) blog. My wonderful, creative and intelligent friend, Samantha Warren, is coaching me through this new world of blogging. I hope to use this blog to communicate my experience in Burkina Faso while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer from June 2008 to August 2010. As part of my Master’s in International Studies, I will be focusing on Girls’ education and empowerment within the village I am placed. My main purpose for sharing my experience is to further educate the part of the world that has access to electricity about a country, a people, and a culture that most likely is unknown and not thought about.
